Due to the high number of shootings and young people being killed, our community has decided to take action. On Saturday April 13, 2024 there will be a March for Peace on the Westside of Chicago. The event is to show support of a Summer long truce that is being negotiated with all organized groups on the Westside. Four of the six organized groups have already committed to the truce and they will participate in the March.
The Westside Block Club Association and the 7 Slot Platoon JEEP Club invites you, your family, organization, block club, and church to join the March For Peace! Wear your t-shirts, bring your banners and let's build a sense of peace, pride and solidarity for and on the Westside! We will meet at 11A at 3800 W. Madison Ave. and celebrate community in Garfield Park (same address) after the march!
